Introduction • Anugrah Narayan College was established in 1956 and became as a constituent unit of Magadh University in 1976. • Recognized under the 2(f) and 12(b)by the UGC. • A multi-faculty, coeducational and a pioneering institution of General and Professional /Vocational education in the State. • Accredited with NAAC Grade “A” in 2005 and reaccredited Grade “A” in 2012 • CPE status in 2004(Xth Plan) and extended in 2011 (XIth Plan) by UGC . • Active partner of ongoing Erasmus Mundus EURINDIA program • Leading Institution in Faculty and Student research activities in Bihar.

Salient Features of ANCP: Courses Taught • 66 programmes are taught /conducted: • 24 Three-year UG Courses including 05 UG (BCA, BBM, Biotechnology, Environment & Water Management and Electronics, Information Technology and Library Science) as self-financing courses. • 20 Two-Year PG Courses, including 5 PG (MBA, WSM, Biotechnology, Environmental Sc. and Electronics) as self-financing courses. • 1 Three-Year MCA Course • 21 Ph.D. Programs • No. of Students: over 5100 • Many add on courses • Active NSS and NCC units • Photography club

Salient Features of ANCP: National and International /Teaching Research Collaborations • 13 National Major Research Projects (ongoing &/or completed) • 13 Minor Research projects • Student research projects in the Faculties of Science, Social Sciences, and all Vocational Courses, inclusive of industrial & corporate internships and training. • International Interdisciplinary Research work with US, UK, Germany, Sweden, The Netherlands, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh,Canada and Australia.

  7. Examination – Semester & Credit System • New Academic Session starts on 1st July • The post Graduate Courses are of 4 semester, each semester of 6 months duration • The entire course is of 80 credits,each credit is of 15 hours of teaching per week • Each course has semester end examination of 75 % marks in each paper per semester through external evaluation and 25 % marks through internal evaluation • The final result contain marks with grade point in 10 • Grade point(G) is an integer indicating the numerical equivalent of the broad level of performance of a student in a course • Credit point (P) of a course is the value obtained by multiplying the grade point to earned credits of the course [P=GXCr] • Grade point Average (GPA) is the product of total grade points earned and credit hours for each course divided by total credit hours
