  11. WHEN YOU CLICK ON THE CLASS REGISTRATION SCREEN THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL GET NEXT NOW CLICK ON THE ICON SHOWING THE PIECE OF PAPER AND PENCIL CLASS CATEGORIES IF YOU DO NOT SELECT AT LEAST THE NUMBER OF CLASSES LISTED HERE YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SUBMIT YOUR REQUESTS!

  12. WHEN YOU CLICK ON THE PENCIL IN EACH COURSE CATEGORY ANOTHER SCREEN OPENS UP. IF YOU SEE A BOX IN THE LEFT COLUMN THAT CLASS MAY BE SELECTED BY CLICKING IN THAT BOX. NOTE THE TEACHER RECOMMENDATION READ THE PRE-REQUISITE NOTES TO BE CERTAIN THAT YOU QUALIFY TO SELECT THAT COURSE. YOU ALSO SEE THE COURSE NUMBER THAT YOU USE TO COMPLETE THE REGISTRATION FORM YOU WILL SUBMIT TO GUIDANCE. THE CREDITS COLUMN TELLS YOU HOW MANY CREDITS YOU MAY EARN BY PASSING THE COURSE

  13. ONCE YOU HAVE SELECTED COURSES IN EACH TYPE YOU WILL SEE THE COURSES YOU SELECTED LIKE THIS.

  14. Student wanted to take PVCC Eng 111/112 but did not have the required recommendation so they entered Eng 12 in the database as that is the next English class required to graduation. Student gets a teacher recommendation and the counselor will make this change in the database. This completed form is turned in to the guidance office Student wanted AP US Gov but did not have a recommendation at the time they entered classes so they enter US government into PowerSchool but put AP us Gov on this form and got a teacher signature and the counselor will bake the change in the database when this form is returned.. Student does not enter Alternates into the Parent Portal, but enters them here so that if all desired classes cannot be scheduled the counselors have options. Enter the courses in the order of preference on this sheet. This form is signed by both students and parent

  15. FINAL STEPS IN THE PROCESS THE FORM ON THE PREVIOUS PAGE IS TURNED IN TO EITHER THEIR FIRST PERIOD TEACHER OR GUIDANCE AFTER THE PARENT AND STUDENT SIGN OFF. COUNSELORS WILL COMPARE THIS FORM TO WHAT HAS BEEN ENTERED INTO POWERSCHOOL AND MAKE ANY NECESSARY CORRECTIONS PER THE TEACHER SIGNATURE AND RECOMMENDATIONS NEEDED COUNSELORS WILL VERIFY THAT THE CORRECT CLASSES HAVE BEEN SELECTED PER THE DIPLOMA DESIRED AND ADJUST IF NECESSARY IN CONVERSATION WITH THE STUDENT. COUNSELORS WILL UPDATE AND ADJUST THE STUDENT’S ACADEMIC AND CAREER PLAN PER THE RETURNED COURSE SELECTION SHEET AND ANY CLASS FAILURES AT THE END OF THE SCHOOL TERM. A COPY OF THE COURSES SELECTED WITH ADJUSTMENTS FOR FAILED REQUIRED CLASSES WILL BE SENT HOME WITH THE STUDENT’S FINAL REPORT CARD

  16. OPEN LAB HOURS THURSDAY MARCH. 6 4:00 – 7:00 THURSDAY MARCH 20 4:00 – 7:00 OTHER HOURS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
