  3. Science • “scire” (latin verb - to know) • “Scientia” (latin word) – knowledge • Science is a systematic body of knowledge based on truth and facts known by actual experiences, observations and experimentation.

It is the name we give to a group of processes through which we cansystematically gather information about the natural world. • It is also the knowledge gathered through the use of theseprocesses. • It is characterized by those valuesand attitudespossessed by people who use scientific processes to gather knowledge.

  5. Technology - is an applied science. - is the application of scientificfindings for the benefit of mankind and to solve scientific problems.
