  2. Working Memory I Know I Know Working Memory- New information jogs your memory and reminds the learner of something they know, this helps to retrieve it to the working memory. Existing knowledge and new knowledge must be connected in the working memory for it to be effective.

  3. Prior Knowledge Prior Knowledge: Connecting new information to existing knowledge happens when you actually have information that relates to the new knowledge

  4. Prior Misconceptions ? Prior Misconceptions- Information that is incorrect prevents learners from accepting new information.

  5. Formed about what we see and hear: based on knowledge or misconception about how things should be. Expectations Halo Effect- people expect good behavior from someone me they admire and will perceive their behavior as positive. Horns Effect- People expect negative behaviors from someone they do not like and they will perceive their behavior as negative.

  11. Enactment Enactment- Physical actions that in some way reflect what is being learned.

  12. Repetition and Review Spacing Effect- Retention and performance is increased by reviewing and practicing new information at periodic intervals.
