  3. Liquid Molecules in a liquid slide past one another, but do not spread apart. Have no definite shape but have a definite volume

  4. Molecules in a gas move freely and more quickly, separated from one another. Gas Have no definite shape nor volume

  9. Phase Change • During a phase change, temperature does not increase. If energy continues to be put in but the temperature doesn’t go up, then what is the energy doing? • The energy is being used to change the matter from one state to another.
