Ester linkage + 2H 2 O. Condensation polymers. Amide linkage. + 2H 2 O. A polyamide can also be made by using a diacyl chloride ClOC -R- COCl as opposed to a dicarboxylic acid. (2HCl condensed as opposed to 2H 2 O). = carbon based chain.
