  1. Select One Country and One Commodity Code, and Adding the Port Information

  2. 1. Click on STATISTICS, then BUILD YOUR OWN TABLES from the drop-down menu. 2. Click on Data by Commodity Code from the left hand menu.

  3. You will be presented with our default table. This shows: • Both EU and Non EU data for all four suites (Imports, Exports, Arrivals and Dispatches, • Latest 3 months data for all commodities up to HS2 3. Click on the down arrow box next to the HS2 box This produces a drop down menu. (Every chapter has been ticked here as it has been used to create the default table)

  4. 4. Click on the box to the left of (Show All) to clear all the ticks. You can now select the commodity code you are interested in In this example we are interested in commodity code 64021900 (sports footwear) If you are unsure of the commodity codes of your goods, you can find them using the ICN Online on this site. 5. Use the scroll bar to scroll down to Chapter 64 6. Click on the Expand (+) symbol to open up all the entries within Chapter 64

  5. 7. Click on the Expand (+) symbol by 6402 to open up all the HS6 headings within it 8. Click on the Expand (+) symbol by 640219 to reveal all the commodity codes (CN8) within it… 9. … and click on the one you want (in this case 64021900

  6. 10. When you have finished, click on OK

  7. The table shows the total trade (value) for commodity code 64021900 for all geographical regions 11. Click on the down arrow next to the EU Indicator

  8. 12. Click on the box next to the (Show All) to remove all the ticks 13. Click on the Expand (+) symbol next to the Non EU box. 14. This opens up the geographical groupings for all non EU countries. Click on the Expand (+) symbol next to the Eastern Europe box

  9. 15. All the countries that make up the Eastern Europe regional group are now displayed. 16. Use the scroll bar to scroll down to Russia 17. Click in the box next to Russia to tick it 18. Click on OK

  10. 19. Clicking on the Expand (+) symbol next to the Eastern Europe box… The selections made are summarised in this box ... Reveals Russia The table shows that there are no imports, only exports of sports shoes (commodity code 64021900) to Russia in 2011

  11. Find the Port the Export was Made From

  12. 1. Hover over the Port field. And keeping your finger pressed down on the left mouse button, drag it to its new position after Country You will know when you have positioned it correctly as white “up and down” arrows will appear Port is now in position 2. Click on the Expand (+) symbol next to Russia…

  13. …and the Port information appears
