Homing Pigeons • Homing Pigeons are interesting birds. • They are different from pigeons you would  see at parks because they are able to find their way home when released from distances, hundreds of miles from home.  • Scientists think Homing Pigeons have Magnetite within  • Homing bird look muscular than a wild pigeons. • First recorded use of homing pigeons to send a message in 776 Bc.

  3. Papyrus Rolls • A classical papyrus roll differs slightly than the scroll that most modern people imagine. • It was invented in 500bc. • The roll can easily be read column by column from left to right.

  4. Foot and Horseback Messenger • Foot & horseback messengers common n Egypt & China in 200bc through 100bc.

  5. Blaise Pascal • He invented the adding machine in 1642. • He was a mathematician and a philosopher invented a so-called adding machine.

  6. Steamboat Patent • The first steamboat patent was issued to Isaac Briggs and William Longstreet in 1788. • In 1769, the Scotsman James Watt patented an improved version of the steam engine that ushered in the Industrial Evolution.

  7. Semaphore Telegraph Line • In 1793 a Frenchman came up with a suggestion that would transform long-distance communications. • Long distance semaphore telegraph line invented by Claude Chappein 1793.

  10. Carbon Paper • Carbon paper was patented by Ralph Wedgewood in 1806.

  11. Aluminum • The element Aluminum was discovered by Hanes Christian Oersted in 1825. • Although aluminum is the most abundant metal in earth crust.

  12. The Fountain Pen • The fountain pen was patented by Lewis Waterman.

  13. Braille • Braille was invented by Louis Braille in 1834.

  14. Electric Telegraph • It was invented by Charles Wheatstone in 1838. • He was a physicist whose fertile.

  15. The Typewriter • The typewriter was invented by Charles Thurber in 1843. • He was the first to place the paper on a roller and give it longitudinal motion with provision for correct letter and word spacing.

  16. The Pony Express • It was between Missouri and California in 1860.

  17. Daniel Gooch • First successful placement of transatlantion cable by Daniel Gooch in 1865. • was an English railway and transatlantic cable engineer and conservative politician who sat in the House of common from 1865 to 1885.

  18. Wireless Radio • The wireless radio was patented by Mahlon Loomis in 1872.

  19. Remington Typewriter • The Remington Typewriter was invented by Christopher Sholes in 1873.

  20. Telephone • The Telephone was invented and use by Alexandra Graham Bell.
