  7. Seminar Topic • Our topic in Seminar this week is a 58-year old business executive. She arrived early at work today for an important presentation. She began to have left sided chest pain that radiated up to her jaw-line, along with some shortness of breath. Fortunately, her assistant quickly called 911, and she was transported to the emergency room.

  8. Seminar Questions • 1.what diagnostic tests might be performed to ascertain if she had myocardial ischemia or myocardial infarction? • 2. What information from her health history might be relevant in evaluating this event? • 3. What is the gold standard test for evaluating coronary artery disease?

Unit 2 Overivew Read Chapter 11 Post to the Discussion this week: select any point in the circulatory system, and from that spot describe the path the blood follows as it travels through the heart, and describe the major structures one would encounter if traveling from the Right atrium of the heart through the pulmonary circuit and system circuit and returning to the right atrium. Complete Unit 2 Lab: This week you will complete both the PhILS exercise on the meaning of the heart sounds, and the Primal pictures worksheet on the cardiovascular system.
