    2. Geography The land of Egypt is a very sandy and is a very hot desert. There are lots of pyramids and statues of very important people who lived in the past. The pyramids are along a river called the Nile. Every spring the Nile River water would flood over the banks, thats why most farmers had their crops there. The water made the land fertile. The people now have changed the land in many ways. They have polluted the air with their cars and factories. They have built more modern cities then in the past with homes, buildings, and roads. We think that they should try not to pollute their environment so much, and maybe try not to populate so much so that the land of Egypt can be as factual as it can be.

    3. I guess you could say there was rich people and poor people. The rich people were usually pharoahs. Pharoahs are the ones with all the cash. The people of Egypt however were very poor. The farmers would have to give the pharaohs most of their crops, because they couldnt afford to pay their taxes. In the land of Egypt there is lots of good. Such as clay pots, bowls, plates, etc. Clay goods are made from the mud along the Nile river. The people of Egypt would trade their crops for things. They would also have to give a large amount to the ruler of Egypt. The Egyptian craftsmen made jewellery of gold and stone, that also was a good. Metals were traded, they made it from metals. Gold was a form of money.

    4. Religion and Philosophy The Egyptians believed of an afterlife. They believed that when you died you would travel down a great river. So when somebody died they would put food pots precious items, and most of their belongings with them. If a great pharaoh died they would be placed in a great tomb with gold, clothing, food, and sometimes even their wives or children so that they wouldnt be lonely. There was a lot of Egyptians gods the people worshiped. Our favourite is a great and powerful god named Anubis. His job was the lead the dead souls to the underworld, and into the kingdom of Osiris. Osiris was Anubis son. Anubises sing was the jackal.

    5. Language, Education, and the Arts The Egyptians used a type of writing called hieroglyphics. Hieroglyphics are a form of writing with pictures that represent words. The Egyptians thought that mathematics were a very important. They used mathematics to weigh stuff and trade things.

    6. Sociology

    7. Political Science The Egyptians had special kings called pharaohs. There were many pharaohs but for a long time there were only 2. This was during the first Dynasty. King Menes had ruled Upper Egypt (a.k.a. Narmer) and another pharaoh, name unknown, had ruled Lower Egypt and they had a war and Unknown Pharaoh lost and King Menes was the first pharaoh to rule all of Egypt. There were crowns for each pharaoh. The crown for Lower Egypt is a strange square-like shape with a coil. The crown for Upper Egypt
