This supplemental figure presents the pairwise protein sequence identities of the glutathione S-transferase (GST) domains in various plant species, particularly focusing on *Physcomitrella patens*. Part A illustrates the identities among the eight hemerythrin GSTs of *P. patens*, while parts B through J depict the identities between these GSTs and other categories, including TCHQD, iota, lambda, EF1Bγ, DHAR, tau, theta, zeta, and phi GSTs. Parts K to T further detail the sequence identity comparisons specifically between PpGSTI1 and other GST types.

A represents pairwiseprotein sequence identities of the eight P. patens hemerythrin GSTs. B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, and J represent pairwiseprotein sequence identities between eight P. patens hemerythrin GSTs and TCHQD, iota, lambda, EF1Bγ, DHAR, tau, theta, zeta, and phi GSTs, respectively. K represents protein sequence identity between the PpGSTI1 and SmGSTI1. L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, and T represent protein sequence identities between the PpGSTI1 and hemerythrin, TCHQD, lambda, EF1Bγ, DHAR, tau, theta, zeta, and phi GSTs, respectively.
