Wiki (Hawai'ian for “quick) • Enables multiple people to collaborate on a project • Basically a website that everyone on the project can edit without having to know anything about HTML • Just click “Edit” on any wiki page and enter text, upload a file, ask a question, etc… • Since anyone can access and update the wiki at any time, it is a great tool for projects that span various time zones • Provides a central location for working group participants to ask questions, collaborate on various discussion topics, etc… • Provides a central location up-to-date meeting information, contact information, in-progress documents, etc…

  10. Wiki uses a flat file structure • Associate the filename with the wiki • Avoids duplicate filenames between wikis • Makes files easier to find • Makes wiki easier to maintain
