Due to the favorable bid climate • Additives above the bond scope: • 10 Pre K classrooms • 37 classrooms • Speas added Cafeteria/Kitchen & Mechanical that provides the infrastructure for future classroom renovations. • Technology Department installed the classroom solution in all schools within the 2006 bond

  21. Bond Savings • Total savings to date: $16,829,581 • Spent $10,427,361 • Media/Permanent Furniture • Instructional/Pod Payoff • Set Aside for land banking $ 3,200,000 • Savings $ 3,202,220 • Available $ in land banking +$1,699,590 Total Available Savings $ 4,901,810

  24. Breakdown of Contractors for 2006 Bond • 14 GC’s from Forsyth (56% of the projects) • 6 GC’s Guilford • 1 Davie • 1 Mecklenburg (used local subs) • 1 Yadkin ( used local subs) • 1 Iredell (used local subs) • 1 SC (used local subs) • 84% of the GC’s are from Forsyth/Davie/Guilford

  25. Projects to complete-2006 bond • Complete Walkertown • The Women and Men's Basketball Teams will play @ Home on Tuesday, January 10 with the Women starting @ 5:00 pm vs Glenn and the Men starting @ 6:30 pm vs East • Northwest Middle • Vienna Elementary • Zone 1 Elementary

  27. 2008 Higher Ed Bond • Purchased the “Central Office” on Miller Street and The Career Center • These Funds allowed us to purchase and renovate: • The Administrative Center (475) • The Education Building (4801) • To build a new Career Center
