Thematic focus • Thematic focus of the European PV Policy Group: • National policy frameworks for PV markets • (= demand-side measures) • National regulatory (legal) framework(s) for PV • National support (incentive / subsidy) schemes for PV • National monitoring (performance measurement) systems for PV (market monitoring/ policy performance monitoring) PV Policy Group – 1st Thematic Working Group Meeting

Background • Background (context) • of the European PV Policy Core Group: • National indicative targets for PV until 2010 defined in EU White Paper - not reached!?! • Disparate national policy approaches and effectiveness in terms of market development • Evaluation of national support mechanisms by the European Commission in 2005/2006 announced in Green Electricity Directive (2001/77/EC) • => ways of improvement and/or harmonisation?!? PV Policy Group – 1st Thematic Working Group Meeting
