RHIC Operations Update: Maintenance, Access Restrictions, and Testing Schedule

This update outlines the current status and upcoming maintenance activities for the RHIC and associated accelerators. The LINAC is operational for BLIP, and maintenance was completed on Monday. The RHIC is in the final stages of shutdown, with tomorrow designated as Maintenance Day.   2. Machine Status • LINAC- On For BLIP: • Maintenance Completed Monday • Independent from RHIC schedule until PP running. • Booster and AGS running setup with beam. • RHIC Final stages of the shutdown in progress.

  3. Tomorrow: Maintenance Day. • RHIC remains on Restricted Access. • Evacuate tests in RHIC tunnel at 1500hrs. • RF testing 3pm to 8am Thursday, then 8pm to 8am daily • AGS 0700-1100hrs Restricted Access for D15 IPM outrigger installation and other work. • No Booster Access, RF work during AGS Access.

  4. Schedule: • 0600hrs • AGS CA LOTO begins. • 0700hrs: • AGS CA Access begins. • 1100hrs: • Secure AGS ring, remove LOTO. • 1200hrs • Restore AGS to operation.

  5. Scheduling: • Schedule will be available this afternoon on the web, link will be sent out. • Reminder: only reviewed and approved jobs.
