  2. Activities by the FCIA • FCIA Tuesday Evening Meeting • 8GFC Scrambling is a “Go” • Great progress on specifying 8GFC • Presented an overview of the Debunking Myths effort • Mentioned the benefits of FCIA membership and gave an overview of the five membership levels

Activities by the FCIA • Focus on promoting FC • Position Ethernet in the SAN • Position SAS in the back-end • Public web site is being completely revamped • Strategic Plan has been updated • Marketing Plan is next for update • Analysts Tour before summer • Promoting Innovations • FC-SP, FC-SCM, FC-BaseT, FC-SATA

Activities by the FCIA • Members Meeting • Article for Computer World approved • Press release for Alliance with ASNP drafted • Press release for Alliance with SNIA-E in work • Alliance with SNIA approved by FCIA Board • Debunking Myths document maturing • Generated talking points for a press and analysts tour next week at Storage World Conference • Developed basis for generating an FC-SCM MRD

SNW • Oct. 31 - Nov. 3 in Orlando • Who is interested in participating in a booth? • What should be the focus? • Can we still get an FCIA presentation into this SNW? • A request for a abstract titles will be submitted… • Send out a call for participation at SNW • Theme: Future Proof Your Storage – Tiered Storage • Possibly static demo • Show possible topologies • 10 Companies Minimum @ $4,500 each
