  2. Roadmap Discussions • Requirements for 8GFC are beginning to jell. • Schedule, Cost and Distance and paramount • Different variants need to be resolved

Activities by the FCIA • Members meeting is 5PM-9PM Thursday evening • Board of Directors is meeting on Friday • SNW Activities • Presented Fibre Channel: The Storage of Business at SNW to about 30 attendees • FCIA Demo was a huge success • Showed tiered storage solutions and ILM actively working • Show attendance was best in history • Over 50% End-Users

Activities by the FCIA • Focus on promoting FC • Position Ethernet in the SAN • Position SAS in the back-end • Public web site is being completely revamped • Strategic Plan is currently being updated • Marketing Plan is currently being updated • Board Offsite in February was very successful • Analysts Tour before summer • Promoting Innovations • FC-SP, FC-SCM, FC-BaseT, FC-SATA

  5. Activities by the FCIA Collateral Generation • Multiple new presentations • New basic FC education courses • Needed quickly! • White paper list • FC in the SAN • FC in the Back-end • FC in the SMB Market
