Reading a weather map p. 54
How to Use a Weather Map • First thing you do when looking at a weather map such as this one is examining the key. • Here is the key on page p. 54
The next thing to do is to ask yourself some questions. • Where do I see sunny weather? • Some cities have clouds over the sun but that is not on the key. What does that mean? • Where is the compass on the map to help me with directions?
Refer to the assignments page and open the document labeled weather map. • Please complete the page based on the map and save it to the desktop labeled weathermap_yourname
Storm Tracker Profile • Next we will be meeting a storm tracker who’s job it is to go out in the middle of dangerous storms to record data. • We will meet Robin Tanamachi. • We will read the work schedule and job information. Then we will answer questions about Robin’s job.
Here is a great time to use the strategy go back and re-read. • Open up the assignment labeled storm tracker. Download it and answer the questions.
