  2. 1933- Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party comes into power in Germany. 1935- The Nuremberg Laws are passed—stripping Jews of their rights as citizens in Germany. The Star of David is required to be worn by all Jews. 1939- Germany invaded Poland– triggering the start of WWII. 1929- Anne Frank is born in Frankfurt, Germany. 1933- Mr. Frank moves his family to the Netherlands. 1941- The Frank girls are forced to attend an all Jewish school. 1942- Margot receives a letter to report to a labor camp– the family decides to go into hiding. But look at us…If we begin thinking of all the horror in the world, we’re lost! We’re trying to hold onto some kind of ideals… when everything…ideals, hopes… everything, are being destroyed! It wasn’t our fault that the world is in such a mess! We weren’t around when all this started! So don’t try to take it out on us!”

  27. Playbill Project • Cover design- must be creative, colorful and based on the story (20 points) • Character- must list at least 5 adjectives to describe each character. Must list how each member died. (10 characters, 2 point each = 20 points) • Important dates- must have at least 10 important dates listed in correct order. (1 points each = 10 points) • Summaries- Must be well written paragraph giving all the important information. Grammar, spelling, and punctuation will count!! (15 points each; 30 Total) • Set design- must be colorful and based on the facts you know about the annex (10 points) • Critic review- must be a well written paragraph stating your opinions about the play (10points)
