August 2018 LCCU MeetingFacebook Privacy • Control login • Disable automatic login – Settings, Security & login, turn off “Log in with your Profile Picture”. • Change password, choose a strong one. • Enable 2-factor authentication. • Change privacy settings • “Friends only” for “Who can see your future posts”, “Limit past posts”, “Who can look you up…”. • “Only Me” for “Who can see your friends list” • “No” for “Do you want search engines …to link?”

August 2018 LCCU MeetingHandling Spam In Email • Handling spam in GMail: • If you didn’t ask for it, mark message as spam – check message in inbox, click “Report Spam” button; Gmail learns to move this & future messages from this sender to Spam folder. • If you did ask for it, unsubscribe. • Create spam settings • under Settings, filters and Blocked Addresses, set filters for words in subject or body • Note – Gmail Spam is automatically deleted after 30 days.

Check 'Hidden Items‘, C:\Users\username\AppData\LocalLow\Google\GoogleEarth. • Set “Map Style” to “Everything” (all layers). • Measure distances: click icon, click on places in path, double-click at end.
