2. Pink This CD cover spells out the artists nick name ‘PINK’. The ‘I’ in ‘PINK’ is made to look like an exclamation mark. This might have been done to emphasize her name, picture or her attitude. Behind the Name there is a nebulous black and white photograph of the artist. She has an angry face to show her attitude that she has in most of her songs and music videos. This CD cover catches my eye because of the bright pink colour on the case. The pink stands out more because of the black and white background. A black and white background is used to emphasize attitude and emotions. The black and white photograph could also make her and her album look more ground up and sophisticated.

3. Jason Derulo This album cover has a blue gradient effect too it and over his right shoulder the effect of a sun peeking over is visible. He looks serious in this photo as he is looking away from the camera and is not smiling. The blue look gives off calm vibes and could symbolize relaxedmusic in this album. That combined with the serious face makes the album cover look more serious and relaxed. The hat makes Jason Derulo look more classical and jazzy. He dose look smart because of the tie, smart collared shirt and the suit top. The name is in white and has been put against the black hat to make it stand out more.

4. Jessie J This album cover has a lot of contrast with a white background and Jessie J having black hair, nail polish, lipstick, eye shadows and cloths. The gold name could give the appearance of a gold chain. She looks like she is pulling something as her hands are in a pulling to the side position. Jessie J is wearing black in this which could mean the songs will be sad or angry. Her mouth is open which could mean she is saying something. I think she could be saying let me out or help as she looks trapped. The hands could also symbolize that she is hiding. All to gather this could symbolize being trapped, this also ties in with sad music. The photo could be symmetrical as both sides look the same. In this photograph she dose look sexual because of her cloths and her mouth being opened could be a symbol of lust something like biting your lip.

5. ACDC ACDC are a hard rock band that got together November 1973. The people that listen to there songs are the people that are into rock and heavy metal. The cover is a very dark looking, typical rock band cover. The cover has black corners that goes behind their name. The person at the front of the cover has horns on his head. The horns are identical to the ones the devil is supposed to have. This fits in with the album name, ‘Highway to hell’. The guy with the horns is also holding a tail that again is the same as the devil is supposed to have. Just under the tail you see some red that changes into smoke the further up you look.

6. Mika Mika’s sons are pop/ rock songs but they are more childish and crazy. This album cover is one of the least outlandish and flamboyantcovers. This cover has his picture In black and white with his nick name in gold writing that looks like paint that has been manipulated by dragging a pen through it for example. The black and white could show that this album is a bit more straight faced and not over the top crazy and helps the name to stand out. This album cover has some contrast with the serious black and white picture and the gold liquid text.
