  2. Events • 9/13/2012: Charles Wilkinson, Environmental Law/Tribal Law expert. Reception in LA 800. 3:00 to 5:00 • 09/17/12 to 10/26/12: Montana Native Warrior’s Exhibit. MSUB Library. • 9/28/2012: American Indian Heritage Day: Come to the 49. Peaks to Plains Park. 5:30 to 9:ish.

  3. Events • 11/13/2012: Veterans Medicine Wheel. Lawn between LA and COE. 11:30 to 1:30. • 11/29/2012: American Indian Musicians: More Than Just Drums & Flutes. SUB Banquet A & B. 3:40 – 5:00. Special presentation for faculty and staff. Students welcome. • 04/5 – 04/6/2012: MSUB 45th Annual Pow Wow (1st – 1967).

  4. Student Services • Teach NASX courses – at least one per semester • Support Tribal College transfer students • Create and maintain an inclusive student and campus community culture that focuses on student learning, dialogue, cultural competence, and appreciation of differences. • Co-advisor for the Intertribal Indian Club

  5. Faculty Services • Help Deans, Advising and others in establishing clear degree pathways for students from tribal colleges to build on their Associates degrees. • Help build concentrations, options, emphasis, and minors relevant to NASX in the COB, CC, CAHP. • Continue to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in NASX, as well as support the BSLS/NASX concentration. • Investigate faculty staff exchange program between MSUB and Tribal Colleges.

  6. Tribal Relations • Coordinate Chancellor and Cabinet level outreach to all tribal communities. • Travel to Tribal Colleges to promote MSUB, develop and maintain transfer opportunities. • Host MSUB social events in tribal communities to recruit students and promote MSUB. • Work with Alumni Relations to publicly recognize American Indian Alumni

  7. Outside Funding • Identify grant opportunities and write at least one grant per year. • Establish scholarships specific to American Indian students.
