Revolutionary War facts • Colonists in America wanted independence from England. • For ten years before the war actually started, there was a lot of tension between England and the colonies. • The American Revolution, also known as the Revolutionary War, began in 1775. • British soldiers and American patriots started the war with battles at Lexington and concord, Massachusetts. • The war ended in 1783, and the United States of America was born.

  4. Explaining quotes 1 The first quote reference slavery which was not a taboo thing in the 1700. The slave trade would usually be operated from Boston and supplied African slaves to Virginian and European colonies.

  9. Famous events: Boston tea party The Boston tea party was a very interesting act in December 16, 1773. This famous act took place when a group of Massachusetts Patriots, protesting the monopoly on American tea importation from Britain. Patriots seized 342 chests of tea in a midnight raid on three tea ships and threw them into the harbor. Also this was caused from the taxes being to high
