  2. S + V…so that S + V… • I finished my homework by 9:50 so that I could watch the 10 o’clock movie on HBO. • (On your own)他找了兩份兼差以便於有足夠的錢付各種帳單。He found two part-time jobs so that he could have enough money to pay all kinds of bills.

  3. S + be/aux./V…, and so + be/aux. + S. • I am 16 every day, and so is she. • Peter will be here tomorrow, and so will Joe. • Ted walks to school every day, and so does Al. • I’ve been to Japan twice, and so has my mom. • (On your own)去年Rachel國中畢業Bob也是。Rachel graduated from junior high school, and so did Bob.

  7. so…that… vs. such…that… • They are such nice guys that they help each other whenever they can. • Sue is so nice a girl that she is willing to help others when they are in need or in trouble. • Jeanie did her homework so carefully that she didn’t make a single mistake. • He is such an honest person that his parents are proud of him.
