  2. 1. ..., and S + Aux/be not, either. →..., and neither + Aux/be + S. Example: People will assume that my eyes don’t work, andmy earsdon’teither. 1. → People will assume that my eyes don’t work, andeitherdomyears.

  3. 1. ..., and S + Aux/be not, either. →..., and neither + Aux/be + S. Example: You are not to blame, andyour brotherisn’t, either. 2. → You are not to blame, andneitherisyour brother.

  4. Exercise A Combine each pair of the sentences below by using the above patterns. The first one has been done for you. I don’t feel like going to the movies. My sister doesn't feel like going, either. 1. → I don’t feel like going to the movies, and my sister doesn't, either. → I don’t feel like going to the movies, and neither does my sister.

  5. Jennifer was not invited to the party. Her friends were not invited, either. 2. → Jennifer was not invited to the party, and her friends weren't, either. → Jennifer was not invited to the party, and her friends weren't, either.
