Welcome to Holley-Navarre Intermediate

Welcome to Holley Navarre Intermediate School! We are a large school with a small school feel, with approximately 940 students and a dedicated staff. Join us for the Teacher Meet & Greet and Supply Drop-off on August 10th, where you can bring in school supplies, meet your child's teacher, and complete required forms. Check out our daily schedule, color rotations, PBIS program, attendance policies, Accelerated Reader program, guidance and support services, and information about the FSA assessments.   4. Teacher Meet & GreetSupply Drop-off Friday, August 10th • ESE – 8:30 • 3rd Grade – 8:30 • 4th Grade – 10:00 • 5th Grade – 10:00

How does Teacher Meet & Greet work? • Parents and students bring in school supplies. • Become familiar with the school layout. • Meet your sweet teacher. • Request a time to conference, if needed. • Pay Activity Fee ($15) & complete required forms. • Cafeteria-Put money in your child’s account. • Cafeteria-Speak with Transportation staff. • Smile BIG!  It’s going to be a great school year! Arrival • Doors open at 7:00 a.m. • You may walk your child to class on the first day. • You may park and walk your child to the door. • Please don’t drop off your child before 7:00 a.m. • Breakfast is open 7:00 - 7:25 a.m. • ITV-Morning news program starts at 7:25 a.m. • Tardy Bell is 7:30 a.m. Students must be in class.

  8. Dismissal • Bell rings at 1:30 –all students • Latest time to check out is 1:15-front office • Transportation change? note, email, fax, website • NO transportation changes over the phone • Car rider procedures- Coach Branch/Coach Sasser • Be patient the first week of school. Thank you!

PE everyday • 20 min. recess everyday • 90 min. reading/social studies • 90 min. math • 40 min. science • 30 min. intervention block • 30 min. lunch • 40 min.-art-once per 7 days • 40 min.-music-once per 7 days • Red • Orange • Yellow • Green • Blue • Purple • Pink

PBIS • POSITIVE BEHAVIOR INTERVENTION SYSTEM • The key to PBIS is prevention, not punishment. • HNI programs to promote POSITVE behavior: • HERO Character traits each month-announced daily on ITV • Seahawk Student HERO of the Month • HERO lunch table of the month-one per grade • HERO Bus of the month

Attendance Policies • Students must be in class by 7:30 each day or they are considered tardy. • Three late check ins or early check outs equates to one (1) unexcused absence. • Parents will receive a call out from the school at 9:00 a.m. to advise parents of a student absence. • Excused absences:Absences such as student's illness or special emergencies may be considered excused with a note, email to the teacher, or a call to the officewithin 3 days of the absence. • Unexcused absences: Avoidable absences (such as shopping trips) will be unexcused. • Pre-approved absences: Complete the pre-approved request form one week prior to the event to be considered for approval by administration. • When you miss a day, you miss a lot!  We promote good attendance in order to          achieve academic success...

FSA-Florida Standards Assessment • All grades 3-5 are paper based • All grades will take ELA (Reading) and Math • 4th and 5th will take FSA Writing • 5th only will take Science • Each subject has two sessions • All testing will be administered in April & May • 3rd ELA Level 1-Don’t stress parents!
