  2. Step 1: Prewriting • Come up with a plan for your writing. • Think of ideas to write about. • What will your topic be?

  3. Step 1: Prewriting Use a graphic organizer or thinking map to organize your ideas.

  4. Step 2: Drafting • Drafting means to turn your prewriting into complete sentences.

  5. Step 2: Drafting Writing a rough draft means to get all your ideas down in sentence form. “Rough” means it can be a little sloppy; that’s okay! You will fix the mistakes later.

  6. Step 2: Drafting In my opinion, pizza is the best food. I agree with the author of the first passage, Prize Pizza, for many reasons. First of all, pizza is great because I like the crunchy edges and salty taste of pepperoni. A second reason I love pizza is because the cheese is gooey and delicious.
