Exploring Optimal Growth Conditions for Cress: A Seed Experiment

This project investigates the best growing conditions for cress seeds using various setups. By planting seeds on jam jar lids and cotton wool pads, we create controlled environments. Three different scenarios are tested: cress in light with water, in light without water, and in darkness with water. Seeds are sown on Friday, and their growth is measured from Day 4 to Day 8. Results will be recorded visually and through measurements, promoting a fair comparison among the growth conditions.

  5. We will put one cup in a light box with 10cm3 of water.

  6. Put one cup in a light place with no water.

  7. Put one cup in a dark place with 10cm3 of water.

  8. Sow the seeds on Friday Measure the height of the seeds on Day 4,5,6,7 and 8

  9. How will you record your results?

  11. Can you draw the different plants? No light Water and light No water
