  4. The Boat We tried to make a rubber – band boat with a balloon on top. We couldn’t get the balloon on top, so we just made it a paddle boat. We used tape to cover the bottom of the milk carton, so the water wouldn’t melt through the paper and sink the boat.

  6. Why the paddle kept going At first, we just wound the paddle up and let go: It stopped. Then, we realized that the paddle was crocked! We straitened it out, and it was running like the wind. Before: After:
