  1. Washington DC Trip Walk-a-thon info

Before we get started… • In order to be registered for the trip you need to have: • Signed permission slip (you and your parents) • Registered through the online system • Username: canandaigua14 • Password: wastrip14 • If you’re not sure if all three things have been done, stop by the 8th grade office and ask

  3. Second Fundraiser- the Walk-a-thon • Friday November 22 • Registration open at 5:30 • Walking from 6:00-7:30 • Pizza and prizes 7:30-8:00 • How many laps can you do? • 100% of the money you take in goes directly to your account • Need a signed permission for (you and your parents) to participate

  4. Pledge Form • Pick them up from the 8th grade office or during lunch • Available online (MS 8th Grade 8th grade trip  Fundraisers) • People can pledge by the lap (ex: $1/lap) or give you a set amount (ex: $10 total) • Only go to people you know (no door-to-door)

  5. Pledges • Don’t collect money until after the walk • We will write how many laps you do, then give the sheet back to you after the event • Bring the pledge sheet with you to the event! • All $ (and pledge sheet) is due in the 8th grade office December 2

  6. The event • Arrive at the auditorium entrance • You will be given a colored cardwith your name on it • Report to your stamping station • When the walk begins, each time you pass your stamping station get your card stamped • Turn in your card at the end of the walk. We will count laps

  7. What now? • Pick up a permission form • Pick up a pledge form (both in the 8th grade office/Lunch) • Turn in permission form ASAP • Get pledges • Bring your pledge sheet to the event on November 22 • Questions? Ask me today!
