  1. DENSITY Why it is important and what it is used for.

  2. How to find Density of an Object. Density is found using the mass of an object divided by the volume of the object. To find the mass of an object you weigh it and you will get the weight. Then to find the volume fill up something u can put it in like water, and record the amount of water in it (millimeters, gallons, etc.) . Then drop the item inside of the water and what the water rises to when it was dropped inside record it then subtract it from the beginning amount, then you found the volume. Divide the mass by volume then u have the Density of the object. The formula for finding density is g/ml or mass divided by volume.

  3. What is Volume? • Volume is how much space an object takes up, occupies, has, etc.

  4. What is Mass? • Mass is how much matter that gravity is pulling.

  5. How Temperature can effect Density. • Density can change because of temperature. Heat and Cold changes Density for example, ice floats because the cold makes the ice density grow lower then the water it floats on.

  6. What is Density? • All this talk of what makes density makes us wonder, what is density? Through this activity that me and my classmates learned many things about it now through all of it we can explain what it is now. Density and dense usually refer to a measure of how much of some entity is within a fixed amount of other space. Large things like buildings have a large density, they take up a lot of space. Things like air that takes up lots of room, but has a low density as you cant put much matter into it. Through what we learned on class me and my classmates understand density and what it is.
