In November 2009, the email system experienced several upgrades and maintenance activities, including the installation of new T5240 servers to replace older T2000 units, enhancing CPU capacity and RAM. Key email systems (Amethyst, Sapphire) faced degraded service due to antivirus scanning and maintenance tasks. Notable outages were recorded due to power outages and planned server replacements. A new policy reminder was sent regarding email trash management, targeting the end of the fall semester and the beginning of spring. Contact Jeff Williams for further inquiries.
