  6. 五、教学步骤 Step 1 Warming-up 1、Greetings. 2、Show the students a big clock and ask the students : What is it? What time is it now? What time do you usually get up/ have breakfast/ have lunch/ have supper/ do you homework?/ … 3、Tell the students today we are going to talk about the time.

  7. Step 2 Presentation 1、Teach the new words . Get the students to look at the big clock and tell the meaning of the new words. 1day = 24 hours 1hour = 60 minutes 1/2 hour = half an hour 1 quarter = 15 minutes

  8. Step 3 Part 1 1、Get the students to say the time in Part1.1 using the old way. 2、Get the students to say the time in Part1.1 again using the word “past”. 8:30 / 9:30 / 10:30 half past eight / night / ten 10:10 ten past ten 10:15 quarter past ten 10:25 twenty-five past ten

  9. 3、Get the students to say the time in Part1.1 again using the “to”. 10:35 twenty-five to eleven 10:45 quarter to eleven 10:55 five to eleven 4、Get the students to saying the time in Part1.2. 5、Move the clock and get the students to say the time using the new way.

  35. 三、教学重点:教学目标中2、3项。 四、教学难点: 1、 maths 和politics 的词尾是字母s, 但它 不是复数名词, 当它用作主语时, 句中谓语动词要使用单数形式。 2、person 与 people 的用法区别。 3、the + 序数词的用法。

  36. Step 1 Revision 1、Give the students a dictation of the words and phrases in Lesson 9. 2、Get some pairs to act out the conversation in Part3.1 of Lesson 9. Step 2 Presentation 1、Ask the students the following questions to teach the new words: How many subjects do you have? What subjects do you have today? What does … mean? How do you spell …? What subjects do you like? ( Pay attention to “maths” and “politics” .)
