Assessments • Track student responses • Typically provides an overall score as well as item, standard and cluster scores • Items can be aligned to standards • Items can be grouped into clusters or “question groups” • Assessments can be graded using GradeCam • Assessments have numerous reports available immediately
summary assessments • Does not provide item level information • Can be used to track multiple assessments (overall score only) • Summary assessments do not provide the depth of reporting • All score columns can be used in Custom Reports • Summary assessment data cannot be used when tracking standards progress in the Student Profile
demographics • A “Summary Assessment for non-assessment data” • Think “field trip permission slip turned in?” or “Number of books collected during charity event” • Does not have reports, but data can be used in a Custom Report
building a new demographic Uses exactly the same process as a summary assessment
