Synthesis of Silver Nanoparticles via AgNO3 and ATP: Size Control Using NaBH4 and Ultracentrifuge
This study outlines the synthesis of silver nanoparticles (NPs) utilizing silver nitrate (AgNO3), adenosine triphosphate (ATP), and sodium borohydride (NaBH4) at room temperature and atmospheric pressure. The concentration of components is strategically controlled using ultracentrifugation at 45,000 rpm, with isopropanol (i-PrOH) facilitating precipitation. Different Ag:ATP:BH4 ratios (1:0.1:16 for large NPs, 1:5:16 for small NPs, and 1:0.1:16 for medium-sized NPs) yield nanoparticles in distinct size ranges (1.8-10 nm), showcasing a range of bright yellow colors.
