Fall Practice Teaching ICT School Inventory • 2 Phases • Fall Practice Teaching ICT School Inventory • Provides you with an awareness of what ICT resources are available to use during the fall practice teaching experience. • ICT Integration Activity Lesson Plan & Report • During your November 10th – 28th or February 9th – March 27th practice teaching placement, you are asked to complete at least one lesson that involves some degree (component) of ICT.

Case Studies • Included on the course website are three case studies profiling topics which are meaningful and relevant to you as a new teacher: • Cyber bullying: Ministry of Education Regulations regarding student & teacher safety. • I only have 1 computer in my classroom and I want to integrate technology…What can I do? • Preparing for the Interview: The Principal is going to ask me how I feel about technology as a resource for my classroom…How do I prepare?

Websites, e-Portfolio, or ApplyToEducation • Websites and e-Portfolios are an effective communication tool for teachers to share information with classroom stakeholders. • Skills will be developed to allow the pre-service teacher to construct and maintain a website which may be used for: • Supporting teaching activities during the B.Ed. practicum experience (e.g., posting reviews, homework, quizzes, communicating with classroom stakeholders) • Assisting with the employment pursuit process (e.g., teaching job application assistance, posting your resume and PT reports on-line) • Alternatively, students have the option to complete their professional profile on ApplyToEducation.com to support their future employment pursuits.

  14. Self-Evaluation Movie • Opportunity to self-assess your growth through the Educational Technology course. • A short multimedia movie will be constructed by each student using the Microsoft Movie Maker software.
