  1. Farming: Aim – to look at pastoral and arable farming methods.

  3. Pastoral farming

  4. Arable farming

  5. Farm products must go through a series of stages / processes before they are ready to be sold in shops. Some processes are slow some are quick.

  6. The cow has arrived for milking at 5am.

  7. Milking time at 6am

  8. Feeding time for the cows – 8am

  9. Collection of milk from farm within 12 hours.

  10. The milk is then processed.

  11. Within 20 hours the milk is bottled.

  12. The bottled pint is delivered within 36 hours of being milked.

  13. If the milk is not bottled it is used for dairy products.

  14. Arable farming – wheat harvest.September – field is ploughed.

  15. November – early crop growth.

  16. January – a winter view while crop sleeps.

  17. By June significant growth has taken place – ears are beginning to emerge.

  18. July – ready for harvest

  19. August - harvest

  20. The wheat is stored and then taken off for processing into……..
