  3. Requirements • A minimum of 3.0 GPA • 20 Hours of Community Services • Attendance of at least 6 General Meetings • Participate in 1 Committee or2 Fundraisers • Attend at least 1 Social Event • Don’tmiss more than 2 Volunteering Events

  8. Community Service Committee This committee will be responsible for finding sponsored events. Objective: Each member is responsible for finding a minimum of 1 sponsored events Total Spots: 15 Committee Chair: Amelia Pang (amelia4ags@gmail.com) David King (king4ags@gmail.com)

Community Service Committee Responsibilities & Requirements: • Find a minimum of 1 sponsored event and head the event you help coordinate • Verify event details with event coordinators • Check: maps for each event, PBS Times • Review event descriptions for clarity • Track committee activities and progress

  10. Driver’s Committee This committee is responsible for driving members to events and bringing them back to PBS (Pearl Bus Stop) safely. Objective: Provide a safe means of transportation to and from events Total Spots: Unlimited Committee Chair: Nicole Lau (nicole4ags@gmail.com)

Driver’s Committee Responsibilities & Requirements: • Submit ONE copy EACH of your Driver’s License and Car Insurance Card in order to be classified as a Verified Driver. • Attend at least 5 sponsored events and give members a ride. (includes both Volunteer and Social Events --- EXCEPT the AGS Banquet) • Drivers should be compensated by members they drive. (Acceptable Compensation: $1 every 15 miles)

  12. Convention Committee This committee is responsible organizing and preparing for the AGS Spring Convention Objective: Organize and prepare the necessaries for the AGS Spring Convention Total Spots: 16 Committee Chair: Elsa Jin (elsa4ags@gmail.com) Luis Gomez (luis4ags@gmail.com)

  13. Convention Committee Responsibilities & Requirements: • Be creative for fun and productive Conference. • Be responsible for making name tags for attendees. • Be diligent to respond according to my questions , emails or calls. • Be active for Conference cheer dance.

  14. TV-Taping Committee This committee will organize and attend TV-taping events to help raise funds for AGS. Objective: Help raise funds for AGS, and will experience outside world organizations. Total Spots: 40 Committee Chair: John Vitan (john4ags@gmail.com) Paul Su (paul4ags@gmail.com)

  15. TV-Taping Committee Responsibilities & Requirements: • Attend 2 TV-taping Events OR • Attend 1 TV-taping Event and do 1 Fundraiser OR • Attend 1 TV Taping and drive 4 Volunteers

  16. Header Committee This committee shall consist of general members trained in the art of leading events under the direction of the Executive Board. Objective: Be able to head events with the upmost Leadership and Responsibility. Total Spots: 25 Committee Chair: DelmyMoran (delmy4ags@gmail.com)

Header Committee Responsibilities & Requirements: • Must be able to show Leadership and Responsibility • Headers are held accountable from the moment the Event starts and ends, by means of member and event organizer reports. • Complete the Header Orientation • Head 5 Events as header • Communicate with the committee chair on a weekly basis.

Considering the Event? • What will I be doing? • What kind of work will I be required to do? • Does it involve anything I am not capable of doing? • Would it require me to communicate with people? • What to Wear? • Does the event have a dress code? • Am I dressed appropriately and comfortably for the kind of work I may be doing? • Would a T-shirt be supplied by the Event?

Considering the Event? • Do I need to do anything prior to the Event? • Is there another sign up involved? • Is there a link posted to that second sign-up? • Must I get cleared from the board to sign-up for special events? • Are there any forms I need to fill before the event? • Do I need to drop them somewhere sometime before the event? • Is there any kind of orientation or training involved? • Who to contact if I have any Questions? • Always have the AGS contact information • What time do we meet? • Don’t confuse PBS Time with Start Time

  30. Considering the Event? • Driving: • If you plan on showing up with your car and driving yourself to the event, sign up as a driver, yes, as a verified driver even if you are not. If a verified driver, input how many people you can take in your car. • Sign me up: • Once every thing is absolutely crystal clear and you can commit to every aspect of the event, go ahead and click on “Sign me up!” at the bottom of the page.
