The characters are often larger than life, with abilities so special that they are unreal. “Daedalus and Icarus” is an example of this type of myth. • Daedalus was a famous architect and inventor. He built for King Minos a maze so complex that no one could escape it. • To keep Daedalus from revealing the secret– he imprisoned Daedalus and his son.
