  2. Egypt, as we think of it, formed when Menes united upper and lower Egypt into one kingdom. The capitol was placed at Memphis. The power of the Pharaoh grew significantly during the early year of Egypt. Rise to power

  3. Advancements in architecture and agriculture allowed for a strong central government. Pharaohs were considered gods during this time. The pyramids were built as tombs to the Pharaohs Old Kingdom

  4. The pyramids were built as tombs for the pharaohs. Math was required to calculate lengths and measurements like how big the blocks needed to be, and how many were needed. Also the angle of the slope would have to be decided. Pyramids were built by workers during the flooding season, when the Nile flooded and made crop production impossible. Pyramids
