  3. Successful Clubs • Sustain and increase membership; • Implement successful service projects • Support the Rotary Foundation; • Develop leaders in the club and beyond • Develop a long-range plan which provides for: Continuity Consistency Consensus Communication

  4. 5 Key Questions in Planning • Who are we? • Where are we? • Where do we want to be? • How will we get there? • How will we know when we have arrived?

Club Vision Facilitation Process • The first step to developing a strategic plan for clubs • Club leadership must agree to the process • Takes about four hours • Facilitated by a district visioning team • Who should attend: Maximum of 30 club members +6 of the newest members, +6 of the most experienced and active members +Board of directors, the president, president-elect and the vice president +Assistant Governor

Outcomes After Vision Session • What the club stands for in its community • The club’s target membership size in 5 years • Identification of the club’s attributes • Top 3 objectives for each Avenue of Service • Ways to improve club’s leadership development • Understanding of Club leadership Plan (CLP)

  7. WIIFM (club) • 1st step in a long range plan • New energy in the club • New members • Defines your club better • Focuses the club to core values

  8. What does the club need to do? • Club leadership must agree to the process • Have AG attend • Complete the RVQ • Select location, provide food & required materials
