  1. New world: Voices unheard By: Shamiah McCall

  2. Dear, Uya There Gone! There all gone ,they took him the strange men, they took our chief! They tricked us they made us believe we were friends and then betrayed is all. I'm writing you this as a warning if you see them attack they are no friend of ours. Take no mercy on them as they have done to us, you have to save the chief. I'm the only one left they couldn’t catch me so I ran but, I'm on my way! They must face the vengeance of my people they might try what they did to us on you so don’t fall for it. They are not to be trusted, you must protect your village and save your people. They call themselves “Conquistadors” while I call the “Monsters”, they are truly violent people. They talk of taking our people to another place somewhere they will work for them. Our children would scream as their parents were taken away in chains and they didn't even care. Heartless is what they are, I will do my best to get there as soon as I can, the time to fight is NOW! Magena The Survivor – 1528

  3. Dear, diary It's been a couple of days sense the new men have came to our village and ever since there has been more and more. Even this strange one in a long white dress, is telling the children of the village that there is another God a better one. Many of my people have no idea what he is saying so we just say that he is wrong. You would have to be crazy to say any God is better than ours and I’m going to tell them that. I asked them “what's wrong with our god?” what can your God do that ours can't?”. and they go on about how their God can “secure roads” I don't even know what that means. They are really strange people and now they want us to be just as crazy as they are. And they are just getting crazier the other day they saw me and some of my people praying to our God for answers. They hit us with what they call a “whip” over and over again and said they will do it again if they ever saw us do it again. There has been talking about a fight to get back our village some of the men almost herd me and some of the others talking about it. We have to move before they think anything Is up. Chava T he Fighter – 1630

  4. Dear, Magena The Survivor! I'm from the Huron Tribe and I have gotten the troubling letter you sent to me. And I am a little confused about the whole thing we too have strange men but they are friends. They can be trusted they are the opposite of the men around you. We became their partners instead of their prisoners, I'm sad to hear what has happened to you and your people. We will stay on alert just in case they try to come by our village and do the same. Besides, we have the French to help you know our village has had a strange out brake of some weird infection. But they helped us last time when the Iroquois tribe had attacked us they helped us stand our ground and scare them off. With many of them wounded they had no other choice but to retrieve we haven't seen them sense. If you were here you would be able to see for yourself that not all strange men are bad. Why don't you come over here, I’m sure our village can house one more person? Think it over, Chaska- And the people of the Huron Tribe 1528

  5. Dear, Jamestown Resident I'm writing you this to make sure you don't retaliate on the Powhatan tribe! I can't stress how important this is, they are truly kind and gentle hearted people. The way we have been treating them must have become to much for them and they finally snapped. And if we do, how hypocritical would that look? What if it spread around, we would no longer be trusted anymore. Not only by them but by the others as well, I say just leave the village. Of course they might call you “Cowards” for not fighting back but a man without his word isn't a man at all. You have already lost lots of people including some of your men, so why would you risk loosing anymore? It is to best of my knowledge that they weren't accepting the new life style. So why force a man to do something they never will? I say pack up and leave as soon as you can. I can't help but feel if we were nicer to them this horrible event would have never happened. Sincerely, John Lawson ,English Explore 1709

  6. Dear, king of Spain It's been about a week sense our arrival at the Pueblo village, now I’d be lying if I said they weren't different. Never in my entire work of God have I had such difficult group of people who weren't willing to convert. They argue with me in fact just the other day one of them called me a “Lunatic”. I tell them about how our God can secure roads for them in the future only if they convert to our ways. They may be the a very devilish batch of sinners, but they stop I caught some of them praying to “Another” God. So I wiped them, to make them pure once more but I guess it's not working. They have been very secretive lately one of my me suggested they could be planning something. And I must keep an open eye on them, What do I do now? What if they attack? I need more then the answer of God I need your answers and guidance. Sincerely, Father Alonso 1630

  7. About the author! Shamiah McCall is a strong academic student at Tech Boston Academy since the sixth grade. When not in school she like to listen to music watching movies, doing New things and have fun! Until the 8Th grade was not a fan of anything history related but recently seen the fun side of learning. Honestly can't say she regrets anything and is very found of the new leaf that has been turned. Although the mystery of the past is what truly drew her into the subject and what it teaches us. When asked why do you like the mystery of the past and why does it draw you in so much all she had to say; was” it's the feeling of accomplishment as if you discovered the truth that no one else could do that you actually brought a new voice to old issues! a new voice to old issues!  During this whole investigation most of the evidence points to the Europeans and Native Americans as having an During this whole investigation most of the evidence points to the Europeans and Native Americans as having an unhealthy relationship. It teaches us to look at everything from others perspective to see what they were going through and try to understand their reasons. It tells you not only who but what famous historians are, and it tells you everything about the person. I know I would want to know everything the good the bad and yes the ugly, if everything was sugar coded would you even be hearing the truth? If your not hearing everything why or how could you even be hearing the truth? .
