  4. Cochrane Lions Minor Football Association is a Not-For-Profit Society. The objectives of the Society are: To provide an organization to coordinate and operate football programs for youth aged 7 to 17 and to provide teams to play in the Calgary Atom Football Association, in the Calgary Pee Wee Football Association, in the Calgary Bantam Football Association and in the Calgary Midget Football Association. The Society’s Mandate is to ensure the long-term stability, viability and success of the football programs and orderly succession of Coaches, Members, Officers and Directors for the football programs.

Cochrane Minor Football Association Program Summary The Cochrane Lions Football program is a development program focused on: • Safety • Fun • Fairness • Football, athletic, emotional and mental skill development • Teamwork Our focus is to teach basic football skills: • Rules of the game • Safety- How to play full contact football safely • Balance, Speed, Agility, Strength, Endurance, Form • Blocking • Tackling • Offensive Skills- Running with the ball, Catching, Passing • Defensive Skills- Read and React, Blitz, Sacks, Pass Coverage

Atom – Head Coach Scott Mamchur One of the most competitive programs in Calgary Atom Association Pee-Wee – Head Coach Scott Pickard Playoff participation Bantam – Head Coach Paul Vaillancourt Won Division 3 Championship 1 player named to CBFA Selects program 8 players named to Alberta Summer Games Team 2017 Program Review

  7. 2018 Season • Atom – Head Coach Tyler Zunti • Pee-Wee – Head Coach Craig Hallden • Bantam – Head Coach Paul Vaillancourt Selection Committee has approved the coaches and submitted them for approval to their respective associations.

  8. Finance Report 2017 Team Revenue $ 57,167.18 Team Expenses $ 47,400.68 Surplus $ 8,766.50* * Surplus earmarked for capital account (turf improvements and the building of a Lions Fieldhouse). Auditor’s Report The financial statements of the society have been reviewed by internal auditors Dean Lang, Paul McLean and Paul Vaillancourt Appointment of Auditors for 2018 - Vote by Existing Board Officers and Directors

  12. Programs Atom (ages 8-10, not turning 11 by December 31) Note that there are no tryouts at the Atom level (ie. no cuts). In the event that there are too many players, priority for the team will be based on date of registration. Pee Wee (ages 10-12, not turning 13 by December 31) There are tryouts for the 40 player squad. The team plays in the Calgary Peewee Football association. Bantam (ages 13-15, not entering grade 10 during season or turning 16 by December 31) There are tryouts for the 40 player squad. The team plays in the Calgary Bantam Football association.

Online Registration Is Now Open www.cochranefootball.com Atom Friday Night Lights May-June 2018 Spring Camp to be held June 15-17, 2018 • Fees Cochrane Lions Minor Football Association • Atom - $325 • Peewee $ 425 • Bantam - $525 • League forms, including medical forms will be collected at a later date. • Equipment deposit and volunteer bond cheques will be collected at a later date.
