  2. Art Era • Renaissance marked the rebirth of humanism and the revival of cultural achievements for their own sake. As the word Renaissance can be defined as “Rebirth” or “Reconstruction”.

Mona Lisa • Artist: Leonardo da vinci • Height:2' 6" x 1' 9" (77 cm x 53 cm) • Location: Louvre Paris • Media: Oil on Canvas. • Created:1503-1517 Fact: The lady in the painting is Lisa Gherardini which is the wife of the florentine merchant Franceso di Zanobi del Giocondo. Fact:Leonardo da Vinci began painting the Mona Lisa in 1503 and ended about 1517 Fact:In 1516 Leonardo was invited by King Francois 1 to work at the Clos Luce near the king’s castle in Amboise. Fact: Leonardo was one of the first artist to use Aerial Perspective or Birds eye view in his painting of the Mona Lisa

Vitruvian Man • Artist:Leonardo da vinci • Height: 1' 2" x 0' 10" (34 cm x 26 cm) • Location:Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice, • Media:Ink • Created:1490 • Fact:The Vitruvian Man showed how much he cared about proportions. He believed that the workings of the human body were an analogy to the universe. • Fact:Leonardo has been influenced by Giacomo Andrea de Ferrara. She is a expert at Vitruvius and a Renaissance artist. • Fact:Leonardo da vinci finished the Vitruvian man in 1490. • Fact:The drawing had notes written by Leonardo above and below it. In the notes he explained the geometric ratios based on the extension of the arms and legs.

The School Of Athens • Artist: Raphael Stanzas • Height:16' 5" x 25' 3" (5.0 m x 7.7 m) • Location:Raphael Rooms (Palace of the Vatican) • Media:Paint, Plaster • Created:1511 • Fact: This shows an imaginary assembly of the greatest ancient philosophers. • Fact: This Painting also symbolizes the national pursuit of truth. • Fact: The style of painting used was Fresco where the mixing the color right into the plastor. • Fact: The fresco was painted between 1510 and 1511 and is one of four frescoes painted by Raphael. • Fact: In this painting the central figures are Plato and Aristotle.

Venus is a goddess. She was born in the sea. • Fact: When Botticelli made this painting he reached a new pinnacle of success in his life. • Fact:Botticelli's Venus was the first large-scale canvas created in Renaissance Florence. • Fact:Tempera artwork is usually consisted of water and pure egg yolk or a mixture of egg and oil.

Fact: This marble sculpture started as just a block of marble. And Michelangelo only used a drill to create the Peita. Fact:This is the only piece of artwork that michelangelo ever signed. Fact: This was made for the cardinal’s funeral monument but was moved to the first chapel in the 18th century

Fact: The image of the near-touching hands of god and adam has become iconic of humanity. Fact: The present publication offers a vast selection of the works of Michelangelo and Raphael contained in the Vatican Palace.
