CALL TO ORDER Preparing The Agenda • Determine results you would like to achieve • Set realistic time frame to allow for your presentation and any desired discussions • Allow time for comfort breaks • Print agenda in plain type, and on white or soft pastel paper for easy reading
CALL TO ORDER • Arrive at venue early enough to check for requested details and comfort • Provide Agenda for each participant, with any hand-outs needed for discussion • Do an equipment check personally • Be at entry to greet participants
CALL TO ORDER • Know your topic…know your topic… • Relax…just be yourself. You have no need to be the best speaker in the world. • Stick to the agenda script. If you are not comfortable with ad-lib, have text notes. But, don’t be a “textual deviate” PREPARE YOURSELF
