  2. The EOG Tests are the week of May 28th

  3. Please make sure you do not make any appointments for your child that week – EOG Tests are not optional!

  4. What are the EOG’s? The EOG’s are state tests taken by all 3rd, 4th, and 5th Graders across the state.

  5. What tests will my child take? As a 4th Grader your child will take: English Language Arts Math Calculator Active Math Calculator Inactive

  6. 3 Domains Tested in Language Arts: Reading for Literature Reading for Information Language

  7. Reading • 52 Multiple Choice Questions • 150 minutes • *Maximum time allowed- 240 minutes

  8. 5 Domains Tested in Math: Operations and Algebraic Thinking Number and Operations in Base Ten Number and Operations-Fractions Measurement and Data Geometry

  9. Math • 54 Multiple Choice Questions • 150 minutes • *Maximum time allowed- 240 minutes

  10. The North Carolina End-of-Grade Tests are designed to measure student performance on the Common Core State Standards. Sample EOG Items ELA Math

  11. What can you do to help? • Make sure your child has as much rest as they possibly can.

  12. Make sure they eat breakfast that morning • Make sure they are at school on time • Make sure your child is in school

  13. Other Information • There will be NO retesting • Scores will be available Fall of 2013
