Spectroscope •      Scientists use tools to help them understand the universe, galaxies, stars, and planets.  A major tool used to gather information about these objects is called a spectroscope.  The scientific technique that utilizes the spectroscope is called spectroscopy • HOW DO WE KNOW SO MUCH ABOUT STARS? • Being that humans have never actually visited another galaxy, a star, or a planet, how do we know so much about them?  •      Scientists learn a lot about these objects from the light that they send us.  The light received can tell us about the objects.
