8. First Born- Often burdened by high parental expectations particularly if they are boys. For a time they are only children who gain undivided attention from their parents. Their every move is under scrutiny. When the second child comes along to steal the thunder the first born spends a lot of time and energy demonstrating their ascendency over others “Look Mommy he’s being naughty again!” is something a first born might say. They will go to great lengths to show that they are better than their other siblings. This may come across as bossy and domineering. First born often grow up to be excellent leaders and care givers such as Doctors, CEO’s, Principals. Anything that has power, prestige, and responsibility Second Born- Are often born into a competitive atmosphere, due to the pressure of the first born.
