  1. Welcome to ELL, 6/5/12 Warm Up: • Pick up ESL notebook • Pick up “Part-time Indian” journal • Turn and talk: • Are you finished with your paragraph drafts? • What is your idea for your cover design?

  2. I can statement/agenda Today, 6/5, I can… • Know: Analyze “Part-Time Indian” by answering our essential questions. • Do: Use teacher model to draft claim paragraphs. Agenda • Warm up: 5 minutes • Review of your task/cover examples: 5 minutes • Drafting/work time: 35 minutes

  3. Your task… • Finish typing your paragraphs • See Ms. Anna to have your paragraphs printed • Draw your cover (don’t forget to add name, date, class period/teacher)

POTM presentation • Step 1: complete project • Use the rubric to verify that you have followed all directions • Complete pink rubric and put in HW tray • Step 2: revise with a neighbor • Step 3: report to Ms. Anna • Ms. Anna needs to know what you did for your project • Also, where is your project saved • Step 4: silent read civil rights book
