Referred Cases 1,232 cases were referred to settlement conference. 1,114 conferences were paid for in Fiscal Year 2014-15. 920cases have been captured and are graphically displayed on the following charts. 310 cases are pending receipt of reports or actual conference. 2cases were cancelled before reaching conference.
Agreement Rate 69.3% of referred cases successfully reached an agreement either during or soon after the conference Note: This does NOT include pending cases
Length of Conferences The average length of a conference is 3.2 hours.
Referring Circuit Courts • Virginia Beachhas referred 16.8% of the cases during Fiscal Year 2014-15. • 64.8%of all FY14-15 cases were referred by 10 courts in the Tidewater Area (Hampton, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, James City/Williamsburg, Norfolk, Newport News, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth, York and Chesapeake). • 35.2%of the cases in FY14-15 were referred by 72 other courtsacross Virginia. • A total of 82 circuit courts referred cases during the fiscal year.
